Mark has more than 20 years of senior consulting experience
in the capital projects management, facilities management, transportation, communications, pharmaceutical, technology
and financial services industries. Significant engagements have included: Program Manager (2012 – present): currently leading a team responsible for
the development and delivery of a new service offering – capital projects
management – within the IFM (integrated facilities management) space.
Developed in partnership with a premier client, this offering is highly
customized, satisfying traditional project management as well as unique
stakeholder requirements within the organization.
Project Manager (2010 – 2011): successful execution of a major facilities
integration project – on time and on budget – accommodating nearly 250
employees from a closed facility. Identified client requirements; ensured requirements were met by design; oversaw construction management; maximized value through procurement; supported change management to ensure a seamless
transition for all employees. Project Director (2009
– 2010): delivery of customized hotel programs to over 40
Fortune 500 clients; provided support to Sales (project scoping and
pricing), Consulting (analysis, market intelligence, strategy development)
and Innovations (technology development).
Procurement Manager
(2008 – 2009):successfully built a team with oversight of $110 M CAD in spend; exceeded savings targets two consecutive years; led the transition from a tactical
to a strategic organization; implemented effective stakeholder
engagement; drove process efficiencies; executed spend diagnostics to identify savings
opportunities. Project Director (2004
– 2008): part of team that established new product/service
offering and developed innovative travel management strategies for Fortune
500 clients with global hotel spend of more than $200 M
USD annually and delivered savings in excess of $6 M USD.
Turnaround Manager
(2001 – 2002): instituted a robust turnaround management plan that included: executive communications; sales & marketing strategy; sales
force restructuring; implementation of operational best practices; consolidation of information technology;
re-establishment of accounting and finance
procedures.
Prior to management consulting, Mark was operations manager at the Tandet group of companies. Mark had
P & L responsibility for a $25 M, 60 employee, multi-location enterprise.
